Buddha Yantra of the Four Elements: Khmer Sak Yant in Moscow

Some Sak Yant designs are built around a figure, while others bring several ideas together in one composition. The Buddha Yantra of the Four Elements belongs to the second kind. In a published explanation from the Federation of Khmer Sakyantra, the design is described as a combination of water, earth, fire and wind. The stated purposes are peace, calm, good luck and protection.

A design from the Khmer line

This is a Khmer Sak Yant design. That distinction matters to me because Thai and Khmer traditions can use different compositions and texts, even when a design has a similar name or purpose. I study the Khmer line in Cambodia and work with its original designs as part of my practice in Moscow.

The four elements are the basis given in the Federation’s description. I do not assign a separate effect to each element here: the published explanation speaks about their combination and the purpose of the yantra as a whole.

What the original source shows

The Federation published both video and photographs of this yantra. They show a dense geometric composition with writing in the Khmer line. The accompanying description identifies the four elements and names the design’s intended purposes, but it does not provide a separate written formula or a reading of every sign.

That is the limit of what I can explain from this published source. I would not present a guessed transcription as the text of the yantra or add symbols whose place in the original design has not been established.

Preparing a Sak Yant in Moscow

When someone comes to me with a request for calm or protection, I first discuss what they mean by it and whether this particular yantra suits their intention. Then I work from the original design and the material I have studied, taking its composition and text seriously.

The Buddha Yantra of the Four Elements is one possible choice within the Khmer line. Its traditional purpose should be described clearly, without promising a particular result or treating the tattoo as a substitute for help with anxiety or any other health concern.

I work with Sak Yant in Moscow by appointment. If you are considering this design, we can discuss its source, placement and whether it fits your request before making a decision.
